Up Next: The Ultimate Teanaway Orienteering Weekend May 18-19

We are returning to Teanaway for the next two events on the Ultimate Orienteer schedule – a doubleheader in Teanaway in two not-so-common formats.

Saturday May 18 will hold a Goat in Teanaway Forks. In a Goat format, you can skip one or two controls of your choice in a strategic way to gain advantage over your competitors. You can skip one control on the intermediate course and two non-consecutive controls on the advanced courses. This is a mass start event with the check-in at 8:00-8:45 am.

Sunday May 19 will hold a Middle-distance Freestyle event at Dickey Creek. In the Freestyle format, you have to punch all controls (just like in a point-to-point event) but the twist is that you choose the order of the controls. Check-in will open at 9:00 am and the start window is 9:00-12:30.
